The Applied Foundations of EVZ

The Power Playbook and Practitioner Field Manual represent two connected stages in the development of the Evans Velo Zone™ methodology.

The Power Playbook
introduced the applied power-development concepts that became an early precursor to EVZ, exploring output, retention, fatigue, transfer, and repeatable performance through structured training.

The Practitioner Field Manual translated those ideas into practical coaching tools, including diagnostics, training zones, programming logic, and decision-making for real-world application.

Together, they helped establish the applied foundation that later expanded into the broader EVZ developmental framework.

One develops the perspective. The other shows how to apply it.
